ALIENS AMONG US

There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.

– ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON

When deliberating over what the ultimate truth may be, most of us oscillate between opposing elements.  On the one hand we ponder and hold fast to the obscure and enigmatic quandaries of religion, God, and our divinity.  Contesting that is the lack of evidence regarding those subjects and the consideration that there isn’t anything more than what is right here and now.  Lastly is the thought that there may be a god but we can’t know what it is.

Those that find religious ideologies and doctrine relevant follow the regimented pattern of laws and structure.  They do this for varying reasons, including fear of admonition, because of social conditioning throughout their lives.  Some become atheists and, being so overwhelmed with the lack of spiritual evidence in the sensory world, pursue what they can establish to be authentic in this dimension.  Others commit to random and sometimes self-constructed belief systems that give them a sense of spiritual contentedness.  A few of us attempt to just live; avoiding discussions of God or the lack thereof altogether.

Wherever you fit in this equation, it is the duality of your existence in the world that causes such unnecessary variance.  The conflict is pointless when you arrive at the truth regarding your actual self.  This understanding can provide you an autonomy that destroys the preconceived notions of what you’ve been prior conditioned to think.

At its core, the truth is simple.  It is a tiny fracture of light from which everything else is exposed, becoming an expanse of elucidation that Illuminates your path for the rest of your temporary existence here.

From this nucleus of established truth, you can journey in pursuit of that which removes you from unhealthy concerns, fears, insecurities, lack of success, and tarnished thoughts in relation to the ultimate question.  It’s an induction into the complex and detailed world of self-deconstruction and reconstruction.  It is your preliminary walk away from socially prescribed thinking and a declaration that you are no longer willing to acknowledge the status quo any longer.  This step signifies ALL of the following statements:

  • I do not accept the problems in my current life any longer
  • I am turning away from the sleeping masses and Awakening to the truth
  • I will not succumb to social manipulation any further
  • I choose to a constant state of mental control, superiority, and joy
  • I will make a difference in the world by doing what only I am able to do
  • I demand a life of liberty, adventure, and passion
  • I am not normal, nor do I want to be

If you agree with each affirmation above, then the primary point of recognition should be effortless.  It stands alone, is not an extension of any arbitrary belief system, and is a pure and uncomplicated fact.  It is this:

You are a Soul dwelling in tandem with a human body.

It seems like a straightforward enough observation but the term Soul is language equipped; therefore it provides a verbal manifestation of what cannot be described.  The Soul also exists in a manner that isn’t physical.  Since you, as a Soul, cannot experience yourself with sensory capabilities or through the use of diagnostic tools, then what you are exists in a different form.  This form dwells in parallel with the varieties that we can experience with our human body directly.

A valid question to ask is:  If the Soul cannot be experienced through human perception then how do we know that it exists?

Discerning that we are a parallel entity who inhabits the same space as our human (which is still yet a flawed interpretation) will arrive experientially as wisdom is accrued.  You may already believe that you’re a Soul and have no trouble accepting this central point.  You accept it because you know there is more to this world than remaining an organic being that exists momentarily and dies without any part of you transcending the death of your flesh.  You know because your Soul cries out from within you for freedom.  Yet, even being Aware of the truth often doesn’t give birth to the experience of separation, which can unfortunately still leave you almost completely asleep.

The reason for maintaining Awareness is because the knowledge of who you are is a bane to your human who wants to keep you in slumber and secured to rancor and insatiability.  It is not the immortal you and this knowledge is a step toward the experience of separation.

The human is remarkably prone to habits and if you as a Soul stay in command, over time you become adept at remaining there.  The action isn’t a discipline after grasping the concept of separation; it is a state of being.  Once familiar, you won’t attempt to discipline yourself to know the truth any more than you would convince yourself to eat, drink, sleep, and breathe.

It is tricky to understand the separation at first when there hasn’t been a moment of revelation.  Knowledge of an idea and a revelation in regards to it are frequently far from each other’s reach.  It’s the difference between experiencing a volcanic eruption in Iceland and seeing it on the news.  You know it occurred but you had no involvement in the actual happening whatsoever.

The primary divergence between knowing what you are and living what you are is similar.  You must inhabit and reside in the experience instead of just reading about it.

. . .

There was a movie released a few years ago called Men in Black.  In one scene there was a man with a cat that carried Orion’s belt on its collar.  The man was killed.  Later in the movie we see him on a slab in the morgue being observed.  Suddenly his face slides to the side, revealing a tiny alien creature surrounded by control units.  We learn the man was a machine ran exclusively by the little alien sitting inside the vehicles head.

HidingInsideTheHead

As fantastical as that moment was, it is a visual representation of reality.  Here, on planet earth, was an alien being dwelling inside of a human as it navigated and controlled its way through the unassuming populace.  The alien obviously knew that it wasn’t human, yet from outside appearances it seemed as if the vehicle it lived in was just another one of us.

Similar to the creature in the Men in Black movie, you are a separate entity at the helm of a sensory proficient vessel on planet earth.  Yet unlike the scene above, you are hardwired into a flawed human vehicle.  In turn you obviously find it much more difficult to control the machine you’ve been placed in.

A better description is that the Soul/human are two entities comprised of different material, dwelling in tandem with each other while on this plane of existence.  Focusing on the separation and observing the two beings individually is, as prior stated, Awareness.

Once acclimated to Awareness, there arrives a moment where you transcend it.  You envision yourself as a traveler inside an organic vessel; a temporary vehicle that is your responsibility and used for experiencing this world in a very particular manner.

Illumination:  Unlike the process of Awareness, Illumination is an event.  It is the experience of inhabiting the separation between Soul and flesh/Operator and machine.  This ushers in the arresting understanding of liberation, universal ethics, and an awareness of eternal joy.

When Illumination occurs, you die to your old self and Awaken to new possibilities.  As a Soul you understand the errors and transgressions that have occurred in your life thus far.  You begin to repair all of the issues that have arisen from prior confusion as wisdom envelops you.

Illumination is a magnificent occurrence.  You retain Awareness without procedure and develop a startling perspective of the vessel you dwell in, your tics, fallacies, inflections, motor skills, and behaviors.  You step back and watch what you do and separate from it.

In whatever shape your pursuit occurs, it all leads to the same conclusion:  The achievement of Illumination and the recognition of the Soul.

Alien: A non-terrestrial being originating from outside the limits of earth.

Describing you, a Soul, as being alien is not meant to convey images of bulbous eyed creatures with spaceships or an interplanetary species.  We are aliens only in the sense that we are non-organic extensions of our Creator, co-habiting a physical plane that was built for us to experience this world temporarily through our personal vessels.  The term describes us well.

As a Soul dwelling in parallel with your own human body, you will come to appreciate that various events we experience are not only difficult, but wanted.  These adversities are welcome tools that will affect your human in a manner that is beneficial to its growth.  Yes you will hurt, yes you will experience adversity, and yes you will go through a litany of life’s offerings, but you will know that all things are transitory and of this world.

Another movie plot worth discussing is The Terminator.  In this series man is being taken over by machines.  It’s strange because many of us are controlled by our human machine and now we have a visual reference of the possibility that other machines can control these ones.  That is a witness to the self-centered and histrionic nature of humanity:  A controlling machine that is afraid that another machine, of its own design, will rise up and usurp its power; machines that control controlling machines.

In summary, all the allusions herein convey an image of what is real amidst the fantasy.  The reality is that we are of divine origin.  Our bodies were designed to occupy this world, experience what was made for our Soul’s delight, and live in a manner that coincides with the purity of universal ethics.

The world is our playground and Soulful morals transcend the law. These morals rise above existing social trends.  As time changes, the political landscape adjusts to what is considered humanly appropriate.  Such trends are another brain inspired fraction of the core truth, and the Soul knows it.  Outside of this tribal action, on the edge of society, stands Soulkind.  Our morals are part of us as Souls, not the current style of social manipulation.

You are an alien here; a temporary resident enjoying this terrestrial creation.  Your machine will soon expire but you are immortal.  The human is your means of being part of the wonders around you, and it has every tool necessary built right into its compact and complex self; the most amazing machine ever designed for traversing through this marvelous world.

A Soul knows this, and is unafraid.
